In line with the UNFPA Evaluation Policy, evaluation of the UNFPA Country Programme 2011-2015 was conducted in order to demonstrate accountability of performance of the country programme to stakeholders, to generate lessons learned, contribute to the knowledge base of the organization and broaden the evidence-base of achievements.
The evaluation was conducted by a team of independent international and national evaluators and looked into several evaluation criteria such as relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the Country Programme 2011-2015.
The scope of the evaluation included all of UNFPA's assistance and covered both those initiatives and activities funded through its own resources, as well as other resources. The evaluation covered both national level activities as well as interventions supported at the sub-national levels. The evaluation recommendations were thereafter made which provided the UNFPA Cambodia Office and its national partners with evidence and information necessary to formulate the next Country Programme for Cambodia.
