Job Title: Individual Contract (National or International)

Duty Station: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Given the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic, UNFPA would like to support the government in developing the Safe APP to tackle the sexual harassment and GBV in the work place.

The Individual Consultant will define and assess the mobile app functionality, contents that are suitable for providing information and services and protect women and girls from GBV and harassment in Cambodia.

 

Requirements

Qualifications and Work Experience and Technical Background:

  • Advanced university degree in gender, social work or related social sciences and at least 5 years of work experience conducting evaluation/research studies and preparing reports.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in research and/or data analysis in gender development areas or other relevant social sciences;
  • Good analytical and report writing skills, especially analysis of technology;
  • Knowledgeable on development content relevant with subject of the Gender/GBV APP
  • Ability to form a small research/existing team to undertake an evolving process of interview and FGD to support and collect information.
  • Knowledge of Strong substantive and programme background in working with various stakeholders at the national and sub-national level as well as well as vulnerable population
  • Experience in undertaking programme evaluation, particularly in the gender, with the government, non-government stakeholders;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Ability to engage with representatives, international and local agencies as needed;
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills with ability to navigate challenges in completing tasks and deliverables in a timely manner;
  • Experience with UN agencies, government, international and national NGOs, and local authorities desirable; and
  • Knowledge on integrating mobile technology into gender/health programs are assets
  • Fluency in English with basic understanding of the Khmer language is preferable.
